IELTS Course Syallbus and Details

Hi there! With me, you have several options to deepen your knowledge on IELTS depending on your purpose. First timers are recommended to take the introductonary course, but of course doing a preliminary prediction test will be able to help you evaluate your current English level and preparedness for IELTS.

Most of the times, students already have the capacity to participate in the IELTS exam, just that they do not have proper strategy to engage in this exam. Therefore, a prediction test and a post-course prediction test is included in all of the corresponding courses for free!

1. Introductionary Classes (6 x 1.5 hours)

Perfect for those having reasonable exposure to English at school / universities, especially those looking to get to know IELTS and just get the best way and strategy to tackle IELTS without tens of hours of lessons.

The lesson will be arranged in six meetings of 1.5 hours duration each, adapting to the level and requirements of the student.

Meeting 1

  • Understanding IELTS : Test format, scoring, and band descriptors
  • Speaking Part 1 (introduction and interview questions)
  • Speaking Part 2 (Long turn with cue cards)
  • Speaking Part 3 (Two-way discussion on abstract topics)
  • Tips for natural speech – Pronunciation and fluency
  • Practice activity -> Mock speaking tests with feedback

Meeting 2

  • Writing overview
  • Writing Task 1 overview – types of visuals (graphs, charts, maps)
  • Structure and language – organizing information, using appropriate vocabulary
  • Practice activity – Analyzing a sample task and drafting possible answer

Meeting 3

  • Writing Task 2 overview
  • Essay types: Opinion, Discussion, Problem-Solution, Two-part questions
  • Planning & Structure – Thesis statements, paragraph development
  • Language use – cohesive devices
  • Practice activity – Outlining and writing an essay introduction and body paragraph

Meeting 4

  • Reading and listening skills overview
  • Reading strategies – skimming, scanning, and detailed reading
  • Time management activity
  • Listening structure, note taking techniques
  • Common traps in listening – distractors and paraphrasing

Meeting 5

  • Writing Task 1 complex scenarios – multiple charts, other visuals
  • Writing Task 2 conditional scenarios – asking for additional opinion
  • Assignment evaluation (from previous meetings)
  • Speaking practice and targeted strategies depending on band

Meeting 6

  • Full Mock test and feedback
  • Simulated test – full-length IELTS test
  • Review session – analyzing performance and identifying areas for improvement
  • Individual feedback – personalized tips and strategies
  • Next steps for preparation and resources

For all students, a complete resource of IELTS handbook will be given, also unlimited access to personal feedback for any assignments that are completed outside of the course hours.

2. Drill classes (personalized)

For students who would require additional guidance, drilling, or practice, the sessions will be in one hour duration, recommended meetings would be between 15-30 meetings.
